Accounting and Finance students take centre stage!

This month our accounting and finance students have received a unique learning experience thanks to the support offered by their module leader Nadia Asghar and the wonderful sessions facilitated by Neil Reading at the Arena Theatre.

Preparing future accountants is not just about learning how to do the numbers. We aim to ensure that our students leave us with all of the skills they need to enhance employability.

Our first year students have the opportunity to study a professional skills module which takes a holistic approach at students’ personal development, considering current skills and career aspirations.

The benefits of attending this particular session were as follows:

  • Improve your presentation skills
  • Enhance your communication, team working skills and confidence
  • Draw inspiration from the art world to further your careers
  • Boost your CV by adding the experience and skills gained

The students were grouped together to participate in creative/play roles and the feedback received was very positive:

“We loved it”.

“It was different, not expected on this module and we had fun.”

“We learned new things and enjoyed it.”
