University of Wolverhampton Business School

Welcome

6th in the UK for Business and Management courses (The Guardian University Guide 2025)

Our purpose is to support students, businesses, and our community. We make it our mission to educate and develop the responsible business professionals, leaders and entrepreneurs that we need for a sustainable future.

Our vision is underpinned by our four pillars: sustainability; responsibility and professionalism; entrepreneurship; and innovation. These pillars guide our teaching, learning, research, and business support activity, enabling us to give targeted support to our students, local businesses, and community.

We consider it essential to give each student a positive experience on their course. Our innovative, inclusive curriculum puts the individual at the heart of their learning. Students learn in different ways so our active teaching and learning activities reflect this, and we have embedded opportunities for applied and enterprise learning in all modules, at all levels.

Students study a curriculum which is focused on employability and organises study along thematic rather than subject-based lines. Thematic modules enable staff to bring discipline areas together more effectively to explore issues relevant to business. This provides an opportunity for students to explore the interdependence of different business functions of an organisation and understand through business cases, the true essence of how real businesses run. Furthermore, enterprise and employability are at the heart of this practice-focused business curriculum which aims to develop work-ready graduates.
