Take the Next Step
New Government incentives available for employers who create apprenticeship opportunities.
Businesses that offer apprenticeships view them as beneficial to their long-term success. Hiring an apprentice is a productive and effective way for any business to grow talent and develop a motivated, skilled and qualified workforce. As the economy recovers from the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, apprenticeships will be more important than ever in helping businesses to recruit the right people, and develop the skills they need to respond to conditions and grow – both now and in the long-term. The new Government incentive policy has been designed to support and protect current apprentices and to help employers maintain or rebuild the pipeline of new apprenticeship starts.
In summary, organisations hiring new apprentices, with contracts starting between 1st August 2020 and 31st January 2021, will benefit from:
- £2,000 per apprentice aged 16 to 24
- £1,500 per apprentice aged 25+
The existing £1,000 paid to those hiring an apprentice aged 16 to 18, or those aged under 25 with an education, health and care plan, remains in place. Full details can be found in the government’s new apprenticeship funding document.
We have places remaining on a number of Degree Apprenticeship programmes starting in September 2020 and January 2021. Our full list of courses can be viewed here.
