Undergraduate Nursing BNurs 3-year Interviews
Once you have applied for one of our undergraduate three-year pre-registration Nursing courses and if you have been shortlisted, you will be invited for an interview.
Courses: BNurs (Hons) Adult Nursing, BNurs (Hons) Children’s Nursing, BNurs (Hons) Learning Disability Nursing and BNurs (Hons) Mental Health Nursing across all campuses.
*Please note if you have applied for more than one route, you will only need one interview.
Interview method: Interviews will be On-Campus for HOME students and only Online for INTERNATIONAL applicants for those wishing to start in 2025.
On Campus:
- For Adult Nursing and Mental Health Nursing at City: The Mary Seacole (MH) or The Rosalind Franklin (MB) Building, Wolverhampton City Campus, WV1 1AD. Directions can be found here.
- For Adult Nursing, Children's Nursing and Learning Disability at Walsall: The Samuel Johnson (WN) Building, Walsall Campus, WS1 3BD. Directions can be found here.
- For Adult Nursing and Mental Health Nursing at Telford: The Angad Paul (SA) Building, Telford Campus, TF2 9NT. Directions can be found here.
Interview preparation- Important Information
Pre-interview tasks required:
- Have a form of identification (e.g. passport, driver's license, etc.) ready to present on arrival.
- You are required to download and complete this task: Nursing Pre-Session Task (Word doc 52k) before attending the day. We ask that you write in as much detail as per the wordage specified in each section of the written task. Unfortunately, you cannot attend your booked session if you do not complete the pre-session task and bring it with you (printed or digitally).
- Do you know enough about the course you have applied for? Research information about the course, its campus and related placement areas, the Nursing and Midwifery Council 6 C's and visit our open days where you can come and speak to our staff and students www.wlv.ac.uk/opendays.
- At the start of the interview, you must show a form of picture ID as proof of who the interviewer is talking to. Acceptable documents include a passport, driving license, college ID badge, etc. (please note we do not accept copies).
- For our Home applicants only (ON_CAMPUS), The day starts promptly at 9am, but you can arrive from 8:15 to ensure you arrive early, so please ensure that you allow plenty of time to travel to the campus and building where you are asked to arrive to. As this is an assessment event you will be required to arrive on time, we will not permit any latecomers after 9 am.
- We expect all applicants to attend the selection day process, failure to attend this event will result in your application being deemed unsuccessful.
- All applicants are expected to complete the pre-applicant selection day task (Nursing Pre-Session Task (Word doc 52k) and bring this with them on the day (or upload it to e:Vision for international applicants). Failure to provide the completed pre-applicant selection day task will result in applicants needing to rebook on a future applicant selection day.
- Throughout the day, you will participate in a series of discussions and group activities that will form part of your assessment.
- For International applicants only (ONLINE), your interview link will be sent within 24 hours before your interview so you know the exact time of your interview. You are also expected to complete the pre-applicant selection day task Nursing Pre-Session Task (Word doc 52k), and upload to your e:Vision account before attending
After attending your interview, you will be notified on whether or not you’ve passed within 3-5 working days. If you are successful, your offer will be confirmed within 14 working days.
Please note, if you pass your interview, you will be offered the next available intake, based upon the availability to study with the placement area you have requested or is deemed most suitable for you to access.

If you’re unable to attend your interview, you can decline your date/time via e:Vision up to 48 hours before your selection event and you must then log a helpdesk call to request a new date or withdrawal.
