Undergraduate Nursing BNurs 3-year Interviews
Once you have applied for one of our undergraduate three-year pre-registration Nursing courses and if you have been shortlisted, you will be invited for an interview.
Courses: BNurs (Hons) Adult Nursing, BNurs (Hons) Children’s Nursing, BNurs (Hons) Learning Disability Nursing and BNurs (Hons) Mental Health Nursing across all campuses.
*Please note if you have applied for more than one route, you will only need one interview.
Interview method: Interviews will be On-Campus for those wishing to start in 2024.
On Campus:
- For Adult Nursing and Mental Health Nursing at City: The Housman (MX) or The Rosalind Franklin (MB) Building, Wolverhampton City Campus, WV1 1AD. Directions can be found here.
- For Adult Nursing, Children's Nursing and Learning Disability at Walsall: The Samuel Johnson (WN) or The Sister Dora (WP) Building, Walsall Campus, WS1 3BD. Directions can be found here.
- For Adult Nursing and Mental Health Nursing at Telford: The Angad Paul (SA) or The Darby (SC) Building, Telford Campus, TF2 9NT. Directions can be found here.
Interview preparation- Important Information
Pre-interview tasks required:
- Have a form of identification (e.g. passport, driver's license, etc.) ready to present on arrival
- Do you know enough about the course you have applied for? Research information about the course, its campus and related placement areas, the Nursing and Midwifery Council 6 C's and visit our open days where you can come and speak to our staff and students www.wlv.ac.uk/opendays.
- At the start of the interview, you must show a form of picture ID as proof of who the interviewer is talking to. Acceptable documents include a passport, driving license, college ID badge, etc. (please note we do not accept copies).
- The interview day will last around three hours in total, and you will be invited to a morning or afternoon session.
- The session will include a Welcome Talk, Group Activities, and 1-1 Interview.
- As part of your 1-1 interview, you will be asked some scenario-based questions.
- There are no tests involved in the selection process.
After attending your interview, you will be notified on whether or not you’ve passed within 3-5 working days. If you are successful, your offer will be confirmed within 14 working days.
Please note, if you pass your interview, you will be offered the next available intake, based upon the availability to study with the placement area you have requested or is deemed most suitable for you to access.

If you’re unable to attend your interview, you can amend your date/time via e:Vision up to 72 hours before your interview. If you’re unable to attend less than 72 hours before, please contact us by email or phone as soon as possible. Find out how to amend your appointment here.
