Interview preparation - Important Information

  • The interview will assess your reasons and motivations for wanting to become a Healthcare Scientist. You may wish to prepare for questions by considering the role of a Healthcare Science Practitioner. Why you are a good candidate for the course? What values and beliefs are important to you? What attributes make a good healthcare professional?

  • The presentation is your chance to shine! You will be given 5 minutes to introduce yourself to the course team. Use this opportunity to sell yourself, we want to know who you are and what motivates you! You can tell us about your educational background, your hobbies and interests, and your proudest achievements! You can use PowerPoint slides if you feel this would help you or add value to your presentation, but it is not a requirement.

  • The clinical judgment test is a written assessment that evaluates how you would react to a hypothetical situation. It allows the course team to assess your decision-making and judgment skills. You will be provided with a clinical scenario and 5 possible actions that could be taken in response to the scenario. You will need to rank them in order (Most appropriate action to least appropriate action) and provide a short rationale to support your decision.

  • You may wish to prepare questions to ask us about the course, the University, or the profession. The selection day is also your opportunity to make sure you are making the right decision! So please ask questions to help you get a feel for the course and to get to know more about us, the Course Team!

Applicants will be invited to attend the University of Wolverhampton for a half-day selection assessment. The selection process has three elements & an ID check;
