Undergraduate Secondary Teaching degrees

Looking at studying an undergraduate degree and want to train as a secondary school teacher quicker than traditional postgraduate routes?

Training as a Secondary school teacher, upon successful completion, will allow you to teach across the eleven to sixteen age range within the secondary age phase

We offer three-year undergraduate degree routes to train to teach secondary; these style courses will give you both subject knowledge at degree level and leads to the reccomendation of the professional qualification of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). This will allow you to take up a teaching post within a secondary school.

Fees and Funding

Home students on a full-time undergraduate teacher training course can apply for the same student loans for tuition fees and maintenance as other students on their first higher education course.

As an Armed Forces veteran you could benefit from a tax-free bursary of £40,000 in studying one of these courses. Find out more and what the eligibility criteria is here.
