Timeline and Benefits
- All assessments automatically created from SITS (and muted by default!) – incl. exams, coursework, offline and online
- Automatically create all deadlines (including extensions) from SITS
- Turnitin will be set up automatically for all relevant assessments at Levels 3 & 4, and L6 projects and L7 dissertation modules
- Assessments opted into online submission
- Resit submission assessments automatically created and made available to relevant students
- Students will receive consistent email receipts for all submissions (whether online or offline)
- All submissions through Canvas will be automatically sent to SITS
- Canvas will accept marks for all assessments regardless of submission gateway and will push back to SITS
- Markers will be asked to mark each assessment the same and the system will automatically take care of any capping (e.g. late submissions, resit attempts).
- Enable a wider range of staff to enter grades into Canvas, reducing the current bottleneck of Module Leader-only entry
- Enable the automatic return of grades from Canvas to SITS through enhanced integration, allowing SITS to be the master repository of grades
- Marks/grades are only released to students once they have been sent to SITS and had “business rules” applied (e.g. late policy, resit capping)
