  4. How many students have been suspended due to recreational drug use in the last academic five years (16/17-20/21)? 
  5. How many students have been expelled permanently due to recreational drug use in the last academic five years (16/17-20/21)?

We only take action if the drug use is on University premises (including University owned Accommodation) 

 

The matter will be investigated through either Student Code of Conduct procedures, Accommodation procedures or for students on Professional courses through the Fitness to Practice procedure. 

 

Students who require support will be directed to support services 

Reports may result in warning letters and Behaviour Contracts or suspensions from Accommodation (if the drug use occurred in University Accommodation) 

Failure to comply with the terms of Behaviour Contracts can result in exclusion from the University. 

Students on Professional courses may be excluded on Fitness to Practice grounds
