Summary: Application and admissions statistics for master's degrees and other RQF Level 7 qualifications, since 2017 

Request:   

• Application and admissions statistics for master's degrees and other RQF Level 7 qualifications, since 2017 
• I write under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. 
• Please can you email me, for each academic year between 2017-18 and 2021-22 inclusive, and for each master's degree qualification and other RQF Level 7 qualification offered by the University in that year, a) the number of applications and b) the number of admissions, with each number broken down into i) home students and ii) international students. 

Response:  

In accordance with Section 1(1)(a) of the FOIA, I can confirm that the University does hold the requested information in part, as some of the information pertaining to the scope of your request does not exist. I have decided to disclose the requested information, which does exist, in full. 

Information pertaining to data for 2021/22 does not exist as the University is only part way through the recruitment cycle, with further applications and enrolments expected. We therefore do not have a complete dataset for 2021/22. 

Whilst I acknowledge that it is the principle object of the FOIA to provide public access to documents, I am satisfied that the requested information does not exist. 

Please note that the following caveats apply to the data provided: 

• Students can be enrolled on a different course to the one(s) applied for.
• Applicants are sometimes able defer their entry year.
• Applicants/students who have not been assessed as being Home or

International (inc.EU) are counted in the 'Category not assigned' column. 

• The data includes courses taught entirely overseas at partner institutions.
