One-to-One Support

Drop-ins over the Summer 

As a University of Wolverhampton student you can access free one-to-one advice to help you develop and improve your academic study skills. Skills for Learning offer guidance on various aspects such as planning and writing your academic assignments, exam revision, tips on delivering effective presentations, how to use your time efficiently and organise your academic study. There is no need to book ahead to access this support, sessions run at the following times:

Harrison Learning Centre, City Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm
Walsall Learning Centre Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm
Telford Learning Centre Thursday 10am - 4pm

There will be no drop-in at Telford Learning Centre on Thursday 26th July

If you cannot attend a drop-in during advertised hours, please fill out the online contact form to arrange a suitable time to access Skills for Learning support.

Doctoral Appointments

For those on PhD programmes or Professional Doctorates. Please email skills@wlv.ac.uk to arrange an appointment, and note that the following guidelines apply:

  • Appointment requests must be made at least one working day in advance and are subject to availability
  • Appointments must be to discuss a piece of written work, to be emailed in advance of the appointment
