Mature learners and Access to HE students

We have specificly developed a suite of talks aimed at supporting Access to HE and Mature Learners with their transition to University.

The Student Recruitment team can deliver these in your college, as stand alone sessions as part of tutorial groups or as part of modules during the Access to HE course.  We can also run these talks as part of your Higher Education events such as careers fairs and events.

In this session learners will have the opportunity to understand the benefits of returning back to higher education and further opportunities to their career pathways this can offer. Information on the wide student support networks available at university will be discussed to guide you through your student journey.

This talk gives an insight into how to apply to university as mature student and the current process. This includes hints and tips on what should be included in a personal statement as part of the application process.

Learners will gather all the relevant information on student finance as a mature student within the higher education sector. This will detail all the relevant financial opportunities to support mature students through higher education.

In this talk learners will gather an understanding of what it is like to specifically study at the University of Wolverhampton. It will look at what life is like for a mature student and the opportunities university can offer whilst studying and as an alumni.  

Access to HE Programme 

We know that students on Access to HE programmes need to research their HE choices as part of course, as well as helping them to make informed decisions about their future. Here at the University we can offer a tailored programme to support your learners. this can be tailored to the requirements of the course as well as your start dates.
