The Chaplaincy can offer comfort to all of our students whether you follow a religion or not. They consist of a multi-faith team who offer an inclusive service via email and phone for our distance learners.

Student Advisors work within the Faculty and can provide extra support for any student who might be struggling to keep up to date with their work or facing other issues affecting their studies.
A Personal Tutor is allocated to every student. They maintain regular communication with each of their tutees in order to support students who may not be making satisfactory progress or who are at risk of withdrawal. They may assist students in their personal and academic development, planning and progression as well as helping them liaise with other staff and support facilities in their Faculty and the wider University.
The Faculty Enabling Tutor (FET) liaise with the Student Enabling Centre (SEC) regarding provision for specific disabled students and disseminates information from the SEC on the needs of specific disabled students. The FET also monitors requests for, and provision of, specific examination and assessment arrangements, publicise FET ‘surgery’ arrangements and make available time to meet with individual disabled students to enable them to discuss their own faculty-specific disability issues where necessary. The FET takes a pro-active role in monitoring the welfare and academic progress of disabled students within the school. If required a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) will be completed.
