Dr Hamlet Reynoso Vanderhorst – ‘A framework for adoption of drones in the Dominican Republic construction industry’, PhD awarded 2022.

Hamlet has worked on applying UAV technology for developing countries generating cases of study to present the application and effectiveness of UAV technology. Some of the project topics are related to Cargo drone, disaster management, urban planning and population growth monitoring, BIM application and mapping of heritage areas for public and private companies such as Cyber ​​Park in Santo Domingo and the Santo Domingo Drone Innovation Center in projects funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). He is the founder of Cocodrone ™ and worked with architects, surveyors, BIM and project management regarding the implications and results management of UAV to meet their needs to adopt and test UAV technology. In addition, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Dominican Republic has twice awarded him funding opportunities to carry out studies in the field of UAVs.
