A new kidney for 12 year old Iman

Ella Haruna of the Centre for International Development (CIDT) is raising funds to support a kidney transplant for her 12 year old nephew Iman.

In 2019, Iman became very weak with high blood pressure, persistent headaches, swollen face and feet. He was finally diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and needs a kidney transplant which will cost about £16,000 in Nigeria where his family live. So far 59 people have generously donated to the campaign for Iman raising over £2500 and fund-raising efforts in Nigeria have raised a similar amount, however there is still a long way to go.

Ella says: "Our wish and hope for this brave bright boy is to undergo this kidney transplant and be able to return to the life of a normal 12 year old boy – to go to school, to play with his family and friends, and to achieve his full potential in life."

On behalf of Iman and his family any donation no matter how small is very much appreciated.

Please help by sharing Iman’s story on social media or with your fund-raising ideas for this brave 12 year old boy.
