Top scholarships for legal eagle

Final year LLB (Hons) student, Steven Micklewright, has received three awards from the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. These will help him to fund the next stage of his law training, the Bar Vocational Course (BVC).Image of a law student with his prestigious award
 
Steven, 22,from Harborne, Birmingham, completed a pre-examination paper on his chosen area of interest (crime) and an interview with a panel consisting of five senior members of the Inner Temple, four practicing barristers and a Judge.
 
The awards were the Major Scholarship Award, Profumo Trust Benefactors Award and Duke of Edinburgh Entrance Scholarship Award.
 
Steven said: “I am very proud to be a student of the University of Wolverhampton, and do not just see these awards as a personal achievement, but also one for the School of Legal Studies. This reflects a lot of hard work and determination, which I aim to continue during my studies on the Bar Vocational Course next year.”
 
Dean of the School of Legal Studies, Brian Mitchell, said: “Steven has been an excellent student with the school and is held in very high esteem by my colleagues. I am delighted this has been recognised in his scholarship application and I wish him every success on the Bar Vocational Course and in his future career at the Bar.”
