Lecture on pollution prevention at Uni
Professor Tamás Meggyes is a Visiting Professor of Built Environment Sustainability and will give the next free public lecture, titled Sustainable Pollution Prevention, on Wednesday, 30 April 2008.
Prof Meggyes said: “Pollution, the main concern of environmental protection, may take various pathways and can contaminate air, drinking water and fertile soil. This lecture deals with a number of successful techniques which can prevent harmful pollution from reaching the built environment.”
In the lecture, Prof Meggyes will examine several research programmes supported by the German Ministry of Research and the European Union that investigated issues of pollution and ways of protecting the environment.

Professor Tamás Meggyes is a Visiting Professor of Built Environment Sustainability at the University of Wolverhampton and formerly of the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing in Berlin. He is currently a freelance research co-ordinator specialising in research and book projects in environmental engineering.
