New and improved password reset service

We are pleased to tell you that the University is improving how you reset your University IT account password by moving to a service integrated with Microsoft 365.  

We will be introducing the new service later this week.

When you next need to reset your password, if you have forgotten it or have been locked out of your account, you will be able to do this yourself using the new Microsoft service, as long as your mobile phone number is up-to-date. 

You can find more information about your IT account password and updating your phones online by searching password from the University website homepage.

If you want to update a working password you have not forgotten, you can continue using the current password portal. Please see the 'I know my password but would like to change it' section on the IT account password webpage

The new Microsoft service will look different, but please be assured that it is secure and safe to use.

There is no action you need to take.
