Adam is the Short Course Leader at the International Academy where he puts together short courses for international students in English and other areas.  One of his responsibilities is the Summer and Winter Schools, where international students from around the world come to the University of Wolverhampton for a language and cultural programme.  When he is not managing the short course programmes and developing relationships with our international partners, he is teaching.  Adam teaches General English, Academic English and Business English on short courses, pre-sessional courses and on the International Foundation Year.  Part of what he loves about his job is meeting new people, learning about other cultures, sharing knowledge and giving students a positive experience when here in the UK.    In his free time he likes to travel, play football, rugby, snowboard and watch sport.

Currently researching how universities can better support students with specific learning differences such as dyslexia which will hopefully present at the IATEFL Conference 2019

Adam started teaching English in 1999 in Thailand. Since then he has lived in many countries and amassed teaching experience in Taiwan, Canada, the Middle East and several cities in China.  As well as developing his teaching skills he has developed a knowledge of the cultures many of his students come from and this has helped him better serve these students and build relationships with international partners.  Adam also has a marketing background which has helped him understand the EFL market and respond to its needs by creating and growing courses at the International Academy.  As well as teaching ESOL he has also been a tutor for students with specific learning difficulties within the university where he has been researching and looking how we can better serve students with SPLD at the University of Wolverhampton.
