The International Foundation Year is designed for international students who wish to study for a degree in their chosen Faculty at the University of Wolverhampton but don't have the right qualifications to move straight onto a degree course. It develops the skills you need for studying at degree level and provides the opportunity to experience University life, preparing you for the next level in your studies.

(You can choose any degree from each Faculty with the exception of Pharmacy, Nursing, Social Work and Teaching and subject to professional body regulations and individual course entry requirements).

International Foundation Year options

You can choose from one of four International Foundation Years, depending on your interests and the degree you would like to move on to. To find out what your chosen course involves, including information on entry requirements, fees and to apply, please select from the following:

Internatonal Foundation Year -  Full-time (1 year study option)

BA (Hons) with International Foundation Year -  Full-time (4 year study option)

Student Success

Daniel Lawani

"I found my courses enjoyable because it was not all dependent on written work.  The fact that we had presentations ensured that we were involved in debates.  Sometimes, we watched videos and had entertaining lectures, which broadens your mind even while being relaxed.  I would like to say I enjoyed every bit of my programme."  Find out more about what Daniel has to say.

Alisa Murillo

"I originally came to the International Academy at the University of Wolverhampton to do a Summer School course to improve my English.  However, after my wonderful experience I decided to return to do the International Foundation Year and then continue onto an undergraduate degree course to study art".
