A guest talk by Gavin Watson will take place on Wednesday, 19 May from 2pm to 4pm in the MC001 lecture theatre at City Campus.
Gavin is the photographer behind the book ‘Skins’ and will be signing copies of this following his talk.
Organiser Tom Hicks, from the University’s Learning and Information Services, said: “We are delighted to welcome Gavin to the University. His early photographic work is now viewed as a classic document of youth subculture.”
Gavin is an acclaimed documentary and portrait photographer. He has worked for many global companies including Levi’s and Dr Martens, as well as music magazines, album covers and fashion publications.
The event is a joint initiative from the School of Art & Design’s Photography Department and the Cluster for Research in Culture and Humanities (RICH) at the School of Law, Social Sciences and Communications.
