Curtains up for drama students

The performances of ‘Porto’ will take place at the Arena Theatre in Wolverhampton on Thursday 7 May at 1pm and 7.30pm and on Friday 8 May at 7.30pm.

The 2nd year Drama and Performance students from the School of Sport, Performing Arts and Leisure have devised the production which pays homage to the physical theatre genre.

Royona Mitra, Senior Lecturer in Drama and Performance, said: “The play is about a group of people with a need to travel and an urge to reach beyond the familiar. This takes them from the comfort of their homes to the volatile environment of Porto. Here they must learn to shed their histories and discover who they are in order to live the life they yearn for.”

Tickets are £5 or £3 for concessions.
