Professor Sarah Jane Johnston

Professor Sarah Jane Johnston:

Sarah Jane Johnston is a mathematician with research interests in Orthogonal Polynomials and Special Functions.  She joined the University of South Africa (Unisa) in 2012 after studying and working at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa and the University of Central Florida in the USA.  She was the Chair of the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Unisa and now she is the Head of the office for Research and Graduate Studies for the College of Science, Engineering and Technology at Unisa.  She is also the Chair of the College’s Innovation Committee and serves on Unisa’s Innovation Challenge selection committee.
