VIDEO: Why I chose nursing

05/12/2017

Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Clare Dickens was a finalist in the prestigious Nursing Times Nurse of the Year Awards.

Clare has pioneered an award-winning approach to suicide and self harm prevention, Three Minutes to Save a Life, which has been delivered to more than 750 staff members, students, police officers, healthcare workers and is being rolled out to other organisations such as schools and prisons.

Here the University of Wolverhampton graduate talks about how it felt to be shortlisted for this prestigious award, why she chose to enter the nursing profession and the amazing impact nurses up and down the country are having on people's lives.

We have places available on our nursing courses to start in January and September 2018. Find out more about studying nursing at the University of Wolverhampton
