French students to celebrate graduation
A special graduation ceremony is to take place in France to celebrate the achievements of University of Wolverhampton students.
The 31 students have completed a MSc in Advanced Technology Management at Wolverhampton’s partner institution, Ecole Supérieure des Technologies Industrielles Avancées (ESTIA), in Biarritz.
The graduation ceremony at ESTIA on Friday, 2 March 2012 will be attended by Vice-Chancellor Professor Geoff Layer and other University representatives.
The UK University has a long standing relationship with ESTIA and the numbers of students have grown each year, with an expected cohort of more than 50 students next year.
Professor Layer said: “We are proud of our relationship with ESTIA and the achievements of our students on the MSc. Graduation is always a special occasion for students and their families, and we’re looking forward to marking their successes and the strength of our partnership at this graduation ceremony.”
The ceremony will also be attended by Dean of the School of Technology Professor Rob Moreton, and his colleagues Dr Paul Lister, Dr Dave Heesom, Kevin Garner and Kadda Yahiaoui.
The UK University and ESTIA became partner institutions in 2005, and the delivery of the programme is part of Wolverhampton’s transnational education partnerships scheme.
Many of the students go on to secure jobs in the Aerospace Industry, and work all over the globe.
