If you are considering joining us from Lebanon, you are close to choosing a University and city that have a lot to offer during your time away from home.

Entry requirements for students from Lebanon

International Foundation Year

البكالوريا / البكالوريا الفنية - Baccalauréat General or Baccalauréat Technique 

Students with a score of 14/20 would be eligible for the International Foundation Year.

IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in all components is also required. 


الامتيازالفني - Diplôme de Technicien Supérieur

A Diplôme de Technicien Supérieur withan  overall average of 70% and minimum of pass in each subject is normally accepted for entrance to a Bachelor programme. 

الإجازةالتعليميةالمهنية - Diploma of Technical Licence / Licence Technique

The Diploma of Technical Licence with a minimum score of 70% can be considered for final year entrance onto a bachelor degree.


البكالوريوس / الإجازة التعليمية – Bachelor degree / Licence

Bachelor degrees from NARIC or government recognised institutions can normally be accepted for master’s studies:

A score of 80-89% is considered comparable to a UK 2:1,

A score of 70-79% is considered comparable to a UK 2:2.

A score of less than 70%  is considered comparable to a UK 3 and would require the completion of a pre-masters course. 

English Language Requirements

English language requirements vary by course and department but the standard University requirement is 6.0 with 5.5 in every component in IELTS or the same scores in the University's own entry test, the Wolverhampton English Proficiency Examination (WEPE).

Some courses may require a higher level of English language proficiency than the University standard requirements. For details of each programme's English language requirement please see the individual course pages.
