Student Policies: Understanding Undergraduate Progression
This video tells you what you need to know about progressing to your next year of study, at undergraduate level.
As you approach the end of your year of study we will calculate your progression status. The progression rules that apply to you are course specific so you should refer to your course guide for any exemptions.
Generally, for undergraduate study, we expect students to achieve 100 credits a level, in order to progress to the next level.
When you achieve less than 100 credits you'll be required to repeat your study in the next year. This will mean that you will need to repeat all the modules that are yet to be passed, in order to get the required amount of credit to progress.
Where you do not have any outstanding reassessment your progression will be calculated at the end of your year of study. However, where you have reassessment, your progression will be calculated after the reassessment has been submitted and marked. Once you have a progression status you will be able to reenroll onto your next year of study.
If you have any queries about your progression, or any other matters relating to your studies, you can log a help call in eVision or contact the ASK@WLV team for support.
