Lateral flow test kits now available for collection on campus

Further to the recent changes in Government guidance regarding testing, we have now had confirmation that we can continue with the distribution of existing lateral flow test kits on campus. We are able to do this in line with NHS guidance: Rapid lateral flow coronavirus (COVID-19) tests.

You will see that we are being asked to prioritise issue of these tests as follows:

  • You are eligible for new Covid-19 treatments.
  • You visit someone at higher risk of getting seriously ill from Covid-19.
  • You work, volunteer or visit someone that is high risk.

Please note that the University expects anyone with symptoms or who has tested positive for Covid-19 not to attend campus until they are recovered or test negative on days five and six. If you need to conduct day five and six tests, please order these tests through other routes, including online and do not attend campus. More information on what to do if you test positive can be found on our Covid-19 reporting webpage

On-campus lateral flow test collection points

When you collect your pack, you will be asked to show your University card.   Please remember you should wear a face-covering at all times when on campus if you can.

Where possible, you should have lateral flow tests at home to use before leaving the house. You can order a pack online, or you can collect free home test kits on campus.
