S4S Stitched Up! workshop

Join us in the Fashion Lab at Wolverhampton School of Art for a day of talks and workshops on Saturday 30 March 2019, and the opening of our exhibition about action for sustainable fashion.

If you are interested in making clothing more sustainable, then this event is for you. We are bringing together artists, researchers and entrepreneurs and everyone who wears clothes to explore how to be sustainable clothing citizens.

The event is free to attend, but please book a ticket via eventbrite as only a limited number of tickets are available. Lunch will be provided and there will be a programme of speakers and interactive workshops so you can find out about:

- The S4S Stitched Up! research project findings.

- How to start up a sustainable clothing enterprise.

- Techniques for upcycling and mending.

- Working with reclaimed and recycled materials.

- Networking and community building.

S4S Stitched Up! is part of the S4S Designing a Sensibility for Sustainable Clothing Research project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and is a partnership between University of Wolverhampton and University of Exeter, with community partners in the West Midlands including The Hive in Shrewsbury, Black Country Living Museum, R&A Collaborations, Antiform Ltd. and Fashion Revolution.
