I have taught Higher Education programmes in the HE and the FE sector for in excess of 40 years. I have experience teaching a range of programmes in Business, Management and Teacher Education having taught courses from Level 2 up to Level 7, including academic and professional programmes. I have also developed small courses for industry. I have spent majority of my career teaching Higher Education programmes and professional courses within the Further Education sector. I have also been involved with Accredited Skills for Industry (ASFI) in developing short courses aimed at promoting business sustainability.

My recent research investigated how the use of reflective practice techniques, developed through the Initial Teacher Training Post-Compulsory in-service programmes, are utilised by newly qualified teachers in their application for QTLS and improving their skills as tutors in the lifelong learning sector within their post qualification year. This research formed part of MA in Education.

Current research is examining the impact of Covid on the well-being of staff, and the steps taken by organisations to monitor and address well-being within the workplace.
