MA Show 2023

MA Degree Show 2023

Wolverhampton School of Art is delighted to be presenting the work of this year’s graduating masters students at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.

I would like to thank Wolverhampton Art Gallery for their ongoing support and providing this vital platform for our students to meet their public. The MA courses at Wolverhampton provide a unique space for students to develop and hone their professional skills, ‘dig deep’ into their own practice and begin to imagine and bring forth the artists, designers, and makers they want to be. The diversity of practice on show reveals these conceptual and material conversations in which skills learned, formal and aesthetic strategies developed, and the student’s personal histories, choices and positions experienced, join forces and evolve into the practice and production of art and design. Our tutors, practicing artists and designers in their own right, work with students individually and in groups to ‘bring out’ these narratives, encourage risk taking and support the creative ambition presented in these exhibitions.

I wish all our graduates well as they move into new worlds of work and I hope you enjoy visiting the exhibitions in person or through the online catalogue and have take the time to explore and unpick some of the student journeys embedded in the work.
