Scientists talk about penetrating the impenetrable at festive lecture

University of Wolverhampton scientists will share insights into their breakthrough research into the development of a male contraceptive pill at a festive lecture.

Dr Sarah Jones and Professor John Howl have created a compound which can penetrate sperm and potentially stop them from swimming.  The research story that male contraception might soon become a reality was picked up by newspapers, magazines and online news outlets all over the world.

Following the amazing level of international interest in the research, the University of Wolverhampton will be hosting a high-profile Christmas lecture, “Penetrating the Impenetrable”, where John and Sarah will explain the science behind their discovery and what this means for the future of both contraception and fertility treatments. The FREE event is taking place on Wednesday 14th December from 5.30 pm until 8.00 pm in the Millennium City Building, City Campus, Wolverhampton.
