University Centre Telford set to offer outstanding results day support

10/08/2015

Expert staff will be on hand in Telford town centre to offer advice and guidance to students picking up their exam results this week.

University Centre Telford, a partnership between the University of Wolverhampton and Telford College of Arts and Technology, is at the ready to support students receiving their A-level and BTEC results.

A team of experts will be on standby at University Centre Telford, based on the third floor of the Southwater One building in Telford Town Centre.

They will be able to guide students through their options, provide information on available courses, both full and part time, and support applications through the Clearing process.

Director of Quality and Higher Education at Telford College of Arts and Technology (TCAT), Teresa Parker said: “Come Thursday, some students will be pleased with their results while others may be disappointed or confused about what to do next.  It is important to make sure that that people make the right decision for them.  The team at University Centre Telford will be on hand to advise on higher education courses, accessing vocational training and apprenticeships and where to go if people are thinking about self-employment.”

University Centre Telford Co-ordinator, Kathryn Jones, said “We realise that it can be a stressful time for students as they pick up their exam results.  We want to emphasise that there are plenty of options for people, whether or not they have already applied to university.”

To find out more, please call in and chat to a member of the team in person on Thursday 13 August 2015 between 9am and 5pm.  Alternatively, please contact the University Centre Telford through the following link http://www.wlv.ac.uk/uctelford/contact-us/.
