Senior Lecturer wins big
Dr Arun Arjunan Course Leader in Mechanical Engineering and research fellow at the University of Wolverhampton has received an award for outstanding contribution to research is his field.
Early Research Award Scheme (ERAS) fellow Dr Arun Arjunan was awarded the outstanding reviewer award by Elsevier for contribution to the highly prestigious Building and Environment Journal.
The award was presented by Elsevier in recognition of the contribution made to the quality of the prestigious Journal of Building and Environment through reviewing and providing recommendations.
The award has recognised Dr Arjunan’s work and commitment to the academic research community and has helped to enhance the quality of published Engineering research.
Dr Arun Arjunan said: “I feel very fortunate to have received such a prestigious award. I could not be more grateful to Elsevier for recognising my work and awarding me this achievement, it means a lot for such an accomplished publisher to award me their top honour for my work.
“The award reinforces my recognition as an expert in the field and my commitment to the academic research community in enhancing the quality of published research.
“I would also like to thank the University of Wolverhampton for being an instrument enabling the progress of science and technology being commitment to be at the forefront of world-leading research.”
Dr Arjunan is currently involved in setting up the new Mechanical Engineering course along with leading the Human Powered Flight project at the University.
He received the FHEA status being recognised as a Fellow of the Higher Education academy in 2014. Arun also serves as a reviewer for the Elsevier Journal of Building and Environment and Springer Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology.
