Employment and Volunteering Awards 2015

The awards were organised by The Workplace and celebrate the hardworking achievements of students who have dedicated time, effort and commitment to their working and volunteering roles.

Professor Geoff Layer, The University’s Vice Chancellor, said: “The results of the Quality Assurance Agency have commended our high quality employability provision.

“We are thankful to all the organisations that have supported us in providing meaningful opportunities to our students.”

A number of students were recognised for completing the Wolverhampton Enterprise and Employability “Gold” Award as well as those who completed an international placement in Europe and the Far East organised though The Workplace”.‌

Head of The Workplace Helene Turley said: “The awards are our way of congratulating our students and graduates for having made a significant contribution locally and beyond through activities undertaken beyond the curriculum.

“The University works to provide a number of opportunities through employment and volunteering for its students and graduates.

 “Whether it’s through WXP placements, Graduate Advantage Programme, Graduate Internships, International Placements Programme, experience is gained to enable graduates to take the next step towards their career.”

The ceremony took place on Friday, 1 May.
