University to headline Made in the Midlands
The University’s Faculty of Science and Engineering has secured the headline sponsorship package for the Made in the Midlands exhibition.
The exhibition is to be held at Dunstall Park Race Course, in Wolverhampton all day from 9am on Thursday 22 May 14.
The University will share a stand with Innovative Product Support Service (IPSS) a European funded project, assisting businesses in bringing products to the market.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore what the University has to offer including: knowledge transfer, research into product innovation and development and discover business enhancements with the University’s business development programme ‘KEEN.’
The University’s Science and Engineering department will also be promoting courses which have been specifically designed for the industry such as; BEng Manufacturing Engineering and MSc Advanced Technology Management.
Over 100 ‘Made in the Midlands’ exhibitors are set to showcase their companies.
Made in the Midlands is a privately run peer group for Managing Directors and CEOs of Manufacturing and Engineering firms in the Midlands.
Hundreds of visitors are set to meet and do business with key members of the manufacturing community.
Dr Paul Lister, the University’s Head of Engineering said: “The University of Wolverhampton’s Faculty of Science and Engineering is pleased to be involved with the Made in the Midlands event.
“We aim to make significant contributions to meeting national and global demand for STEM graduates, whilst building distinctive research, knowledge transfer and Higher Education provision in STEM that reflects both regional and global priorities.
“Over the next three to five years we will dramatically increase the scale and the scope of partnership activity with industry, ensuring that we do our part to maintain the region’s reputation as a manufacturing heartland of the UK.”

Jaguar Land Rover and Aston Martin have also confirmed their support on the event.
Tickets are free to manufacturers, for non-manufacturers tickets will cost £75.
