Nomination event for NatWest Venus Awards

16/07/2014

Innovation 1st, a University of Wolverhampton project part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, invites both men and women to a free business event.

The nomination and networking event will take place on the evening of July 21 at the Business Solutions Centre at the University of Wolverhampton Science Park.

The event will celebrate women in business and provide organisations with the opportunity to make their nominations with assistance from the Innovation 1st team.

Nominations can be made for a wide range of categories – women can even put themselves forward in recognition of the hard work and dedication they put into the workplace

Joanne Gilbert Lewis, regional partner of the Venus Awards, will be talking about the different categories and the process on how to nominate an employee or colleague.

Joanne said: “This is a great opportunity for people to come along to network and to nominate either themselves or others for the NatWest Venus Awards.

“We will have PC’s, iPads and laptops available along with technical assistance to help people to register their nominations at the event.

“Guests will also be able to meet other businesses and have a look around the fabulous ‘Visualisation Centre’ and its state of the art technology.”

The Venus Awards recognise women's contribution in all sectors and stages of their business careers. The Awards, however, are not exclusive to women - men or women can nominate, or be nominated, for the ‘Employer of the Year’ category.

A NatWest representative will give further information about the Awards and how important they are to the industry.

The NatWest Venus Awards Finalists’ ceremony will be held at the ICC in Birmingham on November 26, where the overall winners will be announced.

The closing date for all nominations is July 31.

The nomination event will open at 6.00 pm until 8.30 pm. Light refreshments will also be available.

Register for the event or nominate.
