College joins staff scheme

The College is the latest to join the Pathways to Learning Staff Development Scheme between the University and local colleges. The agreement was signed by the University of Wolverhampton’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Caroline Gipps, and the Principal of Worcester College of Technology, Chris Morecroft.College joins staff scheme
The partnership is intended to provide wider access to learning for staff within the University and colleges and to encourage continuing staff development. Any member of partner college staff wishing to undertake a part-time programme offered by the University will have their tuition fees waived, and vice versa for University staff considering a course at the college.
Ian Hart, Associate Dean Education Partnerships said: “The University is delighted to welcome Worcester College of Technology to the Pathways scheme. Colleges are important partners of the University and our respective staff work together very closely to improve student learning and progression.”
The part time programmes under the arrangement include modules or short courses, bachelors/masters degrees and PhDs at the University and vocational or award bearing courses, such as NVQ and BTEC, at the partner colleges. The proposed programme does not need to be directly job related but could be pursued as part of broader career development.
