Chinese medicine expert to give talk

Professor Kelvin Chan, from the School of Applied Sciences, is taking part in a conference at the Royal Society of Medicine as part of Traditional Chinese Medicine Week.
 
His talk on Saturday, August 2 2008 is entitled ‘Progress in Quality Control of Chinese Medicinal Materials and Products’.
 
Prof Chan, who is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, said: “The public will have the opportunity to know more about the quality, safety and efficacy as well as research progress of Chinese medicine during the week.”
 
The University of Wolverhampton is an institute member of the Consortium for the Globalisation of Chinese Medicine (CGCM). Traditional Chinese Medicine Week takes place from 27 July to 2 August 2008.
