He said: "I enjoy working alongside my colleagues and the staff from all departments and the camaraderie within the working environments, I enjoy the variety of work and cover all main Campuses Walsall, Telford, Science Park, Springfield, and the City Campus.
I hope that as long as the University continues, I will be within the University as I am the best looking and the hardest working security officer here.
I look forward to meeting the returning and new students for 2023."
Michael joined the University in 2007 as part of the Security Team. During his 16 years working here, he has encountered many things and witnessed a lot of change. Michael has enjoyed meeting the staff and students at the University over the years and attributes this to helping him to develop both professionally and personally whilst working here.
Over the years of working at the University Michael has met many UK and international students and staff with whom he has become very good friends. These relationships have led to Michael being invited to places and countries such as Canada, Africa, parts of Europe and China which he visited frequently prior to the Covid-19 lockdown. Michael hopes to be able to return to his regular travel plans soon and plans to organise further trips in the near future as he thoroughly enjoys travelling and visiting places.
One of the main things Michael enjoys about working at the University is the opportunity to meet endless number of personalities from different cultures from across the world. These people have helped him to not only understand their backgrounds but have also helped Michael by teaching him to fluently speak their languages such as Punjabi, Hindi, Arabic but mainly Mandarin.
