Christmas Appeal 2018
The Workplace & Volunteer Central Christmas Appeal for 2018 invites you to donate dried or tinned food for distribution by Food Banks across Wolverhampton, Walsall and Telford. We are also supporting a local charity by collecting clothing & shoes for women and children.
Deadline to donate
12 December: Across all campuses including City, Walsall, Telford & Science Park. After this date as always donations will be welcome at The Chaplaincy (City Campus)
About The Food Bank
The Food Bank provides support for families and single people struggling to buy food and other essentials. For the poor and vulnerable throughout the year, people on low incomes, a sudden crisis can mean going hungry. The Food Banks help prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems. A simple box of food makes a big difference.
About the local charity
The Good Shepherd Relief In Need is a local charity supporting families who are homeless or leaving hostel accommodation. It is one of the chosen mayoral charities for Wolverhampton and all beneficiaries are referred by Wolverhampton Homes, Social Services & other homeless person agencies.
