The UK was an easy destination for my study, given its popularity for high standards of education. The only challenge was choosing from the offers I got for the same course from three UK universities for the 2012/13 academic year. These were the University of Wolverhampton, University of Sheffield, and Cardiff University. I chose the University of Wolverhampton after speaking with a cousin who graduated with an MPH degree in the same University and got a full-time job in the UK with a Public Health organisation within four months of completion.
I chose the University of Wolverhampton for the following reasons.
1. The high quality of teaching and very decent MPH programme.
2. Wolverhampton City being the most diverse City in the West Midlands. It has a heterogeneous mix of nationalities, religions, and ethnic groups. It is friendly and welcoming to international students.
3. The cost of the University tuition and lower cost of living in the City.
I enjoyed studying the MPH course at the University of Wolverhampton. The course content is robust and well-aligned to the needs and understanding of international students. Though the MPH programme was quite intense, I enjoyed the style of teaching and delivery. The lecturers are quite experienced, outstanding, friendly, and supportive. The University's facilities and library resources are world-class, and it made learning more comfortable for me.
