Fail Forward, there is no better opportunity than right now in this moment. How about if it turns out better than you could of ever imagined?

I chose to undertake my specific degree of Business and Marketing Management due to the structure of my degree. I was privileged to learn from a range of lectures with specialist industry knowledge and practical experience - such as undertaking a module with Roy Broad which challenged students to use a range of communication tools such as a Vlog and Presentation to pitch strategies for Wolves FC to retain and acquire their customers. In addition, another early memory of University was a first year module taught by Hajrija Dergic in which we had to create a brand and promote it using video marketing. We filmed a commercial over 4 weeks across two of the University's campuses (Walsall and Wolverhampton). In the process of this commercial I began to build relationships with my peers at the University, who I am still in contact with as of today through LinkedIn and WhatsApp. If you fancy taking a look, please see our commercial on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/6o67sr5lowc. My favourite memory of the University was building friendships and building a network of connections which I will take with me through my career. Personally, I find it difficult to pinpoint a specific point in time. My most precious memory is the process from Day 1 to graduation.
My course has provided me with the practical knowledge and theoretical understanding to work in my desired industry of marketing. Formulating the basis of soft skills such as communicating, teamworking and presenting are all key strengths required within my industry. Practical experience working with real-life businesses has been key to settle into the industry so quickly. A key element of your success in an organisation is how to manage your relationships internally and externally.
My key responsibilities for my role as Marketing Manager is to manage the positioning and promotion of for all brands under the Neutronic Group (Neutronic Technologies and Pinnacle CNC Machine Tools). Managing our digital presence for a multi-channel approach across the UK, across various channels such as: SEO, Social Media, Email Marketing, Print Marketing, Website Management, Website Development and Trade Exhibitions.
My career highlight to date hasn't happened yet.. however being promoted to Marketing Manager at the age of 22 was a great honour and success for myself. Staying true to myself and working on my passions has been a key highlight so far in my career.
Say YES! To every opportunity and get comfortable with being pushed out of your comfort zone. Every conservation can lead to an opportunity, so in every interaction make a positive contribution and build your network .
