Replacement Certificates

If your certificate has been lost or damaged, you may request a replacement certificate for £35, subject to University approval.

How to Apply

📌 If you have a damaged certificate you should confidentially destroy it once the replacement arrives.
📌 If your certificate is lost, confirm this when applying.

🔹 Post-1992 Awards: Request a replacement via the University e:Store (ID required).
🔹 Pre-1992 Awards: The University of Wolverhampton was not the awarding body. If you were a student at the Wolverhampton Polytechnic we cannot provide you with a replacement certificate. You should instead apply for a letter of confirmation. If you are not sure when you were awarded your degree contact us.

Required ID

  • A recent utility bill (showing name & address).
  • A passport or driving licence
  • If your name has changed since studying, provide proof (e.g., marriage certificate, deed poll).

Name Changes on Certificates

✅ Allowed if:
✔️ Your name was incorrect at the time of the award.
✔️ There was a spelling error.
✔️ Your name changed due to gender reassignment.

Not allowed for changes due to marriage or deed poll.
