As an alumnus of the University of Wolverhampton, Alex has a great level of appreciation for the life changing enhancements that attending the 'University of Opportunity' can present.

Her professional background, prior to finding a calling within education, fell within retail management. Alex has extensive hands on experience with all things people management, having managed teams of up to 50 people.

She began her career within Higher Education, after the completion of a Masters Degree within Human Resource Management, as a Graduate Teaching Assistant where Alex's primary role was to assist academic staff in providing a high quality student experience for students at level 3 and level 4 studies. This position enabled her to gain a holistic view on the student journey, beyond the classroom.

Alex is now a full time Senior Lecturer in HR and leadership, where she is able to bring together her two professional passions, education and people management. Although now a fulltime academic, Alex continues to maintain links within industry, enabling her to identify changes and emerging trends within HR practice.

As a Learning and Teaching representative, Alex passionately looks for strategies to enhance student experience within the classroom, proactively responding to the varying needs of our students, to ensure they are in the best position to reach their potential.

Alex is the Business School Inclusivity lead which enables her to work on identifying opportunities for creating an equitable and supportive learning environment for all our students, putting student belongingness at the core of her practice.
