Home Is Where the Habitat Is

"Home Is Where the Habitat Is" was a project funded by the UK Space Agency through their Space For All grant.

This grant allowed us to deliver two-hour workshops to Year 5/6 students across the West Midlands. The students participated in a hands-on and engaging session which focused on the importance of biology, chemistry, physics and design in space. Students worked in groups to discover key topics including the composition of different atmospheres, the requirements of human life and the structure and design of space habitats. Finally, the students conceptualized, designed and created a model space habitat.

Not only this, we provided an after-school CPD session for teachers at the school. The aim of this session was to increase the confidence of staff in delivering engaging and practical science lessons and demonstrations to their classes.
