Salzburg has outstanding Eurocity, Intercity and ICE connections. Salzburg Train Station is a 15 minute walk from the historic city centre and the venue.

By plane

Salzburg Airport - W. A. Mozart

Located just four kilometres from the city centre, Salzburg’s W. A. Mozart Airport has scheduled flights to the larger European cities, including connections to the hubs in Frankfurt, Vienna, London and Zurich.

From the airport to Salzburg city: City bus no. 2 to Salzburg Hauptbahnhof. City bus nos. 2 and 10 to Salzburg city centre. Tickets available at the bus stop (machine) or from the bus driver.

Munich Airport Franz Josef Strauss

Due to the short distance between Munich and Salzburg, Munich Airport is a great asset to tourists travelling to Salzburg. A railway connection from Munich Airport via Munich East Train Station (München Ostbahnhof) takes passengers to Salzburg in just 2.5 hours. The airport S-Bahn S8 and S1 rail links go from Munich Airport to München Ostbahnhof. Trains run on an hourly basis from München Ostbahnhof to Salzburg. Tickets for the entire trip are available at Munich airport.

A comprehensive network of trolley buses and the new suburban railway guarantee fast and uncomplicated transport in the city of Salzburg.
