The University of Wolverhampton is shocked and deeply saddened by the news of the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria this week.

We are in the process of reaching out to any students who are studying with us, and any applicants who have applied to study with us, to offer our support as well as any advice and guidance that might be needed following this terrible disaster.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the tragedy.

If any Turkish or Syrian students have not yet been contacted or there are any members of staff with links to the affected countries who would like to access support, please contact Kirsty Dorward, Head of Student Experience Projects, on student@wlv.ac.uk.

UK Government advice is that anyone in the UK concerned about relatives or friends should call the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) in London on 020 7008 5000. The FCDO has also updated their travel advice webpages for Turkey and for Syria.

For more information please contact the Corporate Communications Team.
