'Come dine with me!' Researching the school food space

School food has received much attention in the press and children's food consumption has been called into questions with evidence of hunger across the globe during a pandemic. This seminar presents some reflections on conducting research on the school food space and begins to highlight the importance of socialisation during mealtime. Following a number of research projects on the school food space, Gurpinder offers some insights and reflections on 'doing ethnography' during COVID-19 and offers an outline of key projects currently in progress.

Dr Gurpinder Singh Lalli is based at the University of Wolverhampton in the Education Observatory and has been conducting research on the school food space.
