Open Access & the REF

Open Access resources may be useful to your research and can be found via sites such as Google Scholar. Find more Open Access resources on our Open Access Resources page. There is now an HEFCE REF (Research Excellence Framework) requirement for researchers to make their research outputs Open Access through repositories such as WIRE (Wolverhampton Intellectual Repository and E-Theses).

OpenDOAR is an authoritative worldwide directory of academic open access repositories.
WIRE is an open access online collection of research outputs by members of the University of Wolverhampton.
ORCID IDs are permanent identifiers for researchers, providing you with a unique, 16-digit numeric identification number that lasts over time.
