WIRE Upgrade

University Repository WIRE gets a new look

Wolverhampton Intellectual Repository and E-Theses (WIRE) is the University’s institutional repository, or digital archive. It is intended to capture, store and preserve our research output and to make it available to the research community.  WIRE interface

Searching and browsing WIRE will now be easier following a recent upgrade to the software, making the University’s research outputs more accessible both inside and outside of the University.

New features include a much clearer search box, with the opportunity to select advanced filters to narrow your search and abstracts neatly displayed in the results screen.  There will also be an option to browse the repository by journal title.

‌Additional improvements will help the WIRE team in recording the University’s compliance with REF open access requirements.

If you are interested in the impact of your research, did you know that WIRE displays the Altmetric ‘donut’ to provide at-a-glance information about the volume and type of attention a research output has received.
